Makers of a Better Future brings free, flexible curriculum overlays to middle and high schools, including our new Microelectronics module. Engage students with hands-on learning in critical technologies like semiconductors, robotics and more.


Empower the Next Generation of Innovators

Makers of a Better Future, powered by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech) and the Northeast Microelectronics Coalition (NEMC), equips middle and high school students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in critical technology fields. Now reaching over 1,500 students in 50 schools, our curriculum overlays integrate seamlessly into existing STEM courses, fostering a deeper understanding of real-world applications.

NEW! Microelectronics Module – Dive into the World of Semiconductors

Our brand-new Microelectronics module introduces students to the tiny yet powerful chips that drive everything from smartphones and electric vehicles to medical devices and national defense systems. Developed in collaboration with industry partner leaders like MIT, Harvard, Skyworks, Entegris and RTX, this module offers:

  • Real-World Relevance: Students explore how microelectronics are used to solve global challenges and power modern innovation.
  • Dynamic Hands-On Learning: Engage with interactive simulations, practical activities, and problem-based projects designed to build critical thinking and technical skills.
  • Clear Career Pathways: Illuminate diverse and rewarding career opportunities in the semiconductor industry, from skilled technicians to advanced research roles.
